Specializing in Web Design, Front End Development, Social Media, and improving user experience

About Me

Liane ChanThanks for visiting my portfolio! I have been interested in web design since high school when I took my first class at ROP, but only recently decided to make it a career. I studied Psychology at UCLA and earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2002. I minored in Classical Civilizations. I earned certificates in web design and game design from Fullerton College, and was awarded the Joyce Morton Scholarship in April 2010.

I have been drawing most of my life and I also enjoy writing and crafts. I am an active blogger and enjoy technology, music, travel, online games, art, and fashion. In addition to web design and development, I have content writing, ecommerce, social media, and marketing experience, both professional and personal.

My professional web design and development experience includes contract work at: Hulu (internal wiki, future website feature design and project management), Southern California Gas Company (content migration and editing, broken link fixing), and Supermedia (web design and development).

I began working in web design when I joined Flashecom as a content writer and was also in charge of website updates and maintenance, content migration, template creation for re-design, and worked with their client New Century Technologies/Aloha Toners who I provided design consultation, project management, and edited Javascript on their ecommerce site.
